OK, I get you, but you're leaving out a few critical things. HIGH4 has an IU feature. You know her, the princess of Korea? The nation's "little sister"? The girl with the iconic song and vocal melodies? You can't really just leave her out of the equation. It also has that magic keyword "cherry blossoms" in the title, which is known to make any song a hit in South Korea.
OH and most importantly, it's April the 14th, AKA Black Day. Which is basically what the song is marketed/released towards. It's not a shock it's selling well on such a day/in the run up to it.
And the "big three" doesn't exist anymore. It's the big two now - and has been for more than 100 weeks.
