200,000? In so little time? Colombia really loves her superstar. I mean, an album in Mexico sells 200,000 only after months of being released despite its bigger population. So good job Shakira!

Is there a better source than this strange banner? Where was it shown? Are there more pictures?

I think your country should always support you. It's the same thing with Beyonce selling many copies in the US, it's her country! It'd be such a shame if she was flopping over there. People who make me laugh the most are the ones that flop even in their own country.

I love JLO but come on, it's kinda funny to see JLOVERS trying to shade other pop girls sales

Doesn't the stats boil down to the fact that is local to Colombia? I can't believe the sales are higher in Colombia than the US when the size of the US population is so much larger.

As I stated before, you country should support you no matter what. Shakira's sales in Colombia outsells some other albums' first week int the US and it doesn't change the fact that she's a global legend. She did not sell 125 million records worldwide for no reason.

You should look up the population and economy of Colombia. Those numbers are pretty good considering that and the abundance of piracy in Latin America.

Add to that the GOLD certification in Brazil (between 20,000-40,000) and in Mexico (30,000).
Since MediaTraffic doesn't count her strongest markets (like those three) I think it's safe to say the album has sold over 500,000 copies by now.

The charts from countries without sales stats are weighted to the size of its markets according to the latest IFPI-statistics (exception: albums with huge sales in these countries are weighted higher). Albums which placed in most or all of our monitoring countries, get additional sales for countries which haven't an official charts like Russia, China, India, Turkey etc.

Nice try but they count those countries too.
Her albums is a massive underperformance/flop no matter how hard her stans try to make it look the other way around, sorry.
Edit: Lmao at her stans not having an official source for those supposed 200K in Colombia, can't say I'm surprised.
