Honestly, I can see Taylor's name floating around much longer than Shania's. I mean, they're right-- for someone so important to Country, she seems kinda forgotten.

Unlike Shania her fan base is rooted in many different walks of life yet we stand strong beneath one omnipotent god.

I understand that, she's not a Legend ala Johnny Cash, Dolly, etc obviously but her impact on Country music since Come On Over is undeniable.

And comparing her to 50 Cent is a bit much.

I can imagine a lot of 'pure' country fans hating Shania because of how mainstream she was, kinda like Rap fans hating Eminem and Metal fans hating Metallica

Not really. BoB implied that because she was massive at one point that she is some sort of Country legend. 50 Cent was also massive, but he is definitely not thought much of today.
