It is really insignificant in the grand scheme, but to some its very important. So much so that some uncut guys get circumcised and some cut guys get restorative surgery. I think what it comes down to though is what is best for the baby. Assuming he'll want one thing or letting him decide. If you believe it's just cosmetic, that would be like your parents giving you cosmetic surgery to look a certain way. How do they know you'll want to look like what they've planned out for you?

Yes, it does make it easier to have a constantly clean penis if you're cut. But in North American pretty much everyone has access to running water. That's really all you need. And even if there is none there are ways to stay clean. Like I said earlier, you wouldn't cut off your ears so that you don't have to clean behind them.
