The Earth is heating up. This is causing changes in weather patterns, and so some regions get harsher winters for the time being. The polar ice caps are melting rapidly, global warming is happening and it's causing the climate changes we're seeing.

There have been natural warm and cold ages in the earth in the past, but they were nothing like what's happening right now. The axis isn't slightly tilted in one direction in the way it was during ice ages, and temperatures are rising much faster than they were during transitions from warm to cold ages.

Global Warming/Climate Change is an overall global rise in temperature and local areas will have different effects. One also needs to note that we aren't seeing climate change that much right now because its a long process. We are seeing a rise in temperatures though which is increasing the temperature sharply

Thank you, people who use the argument "Yeah but Earth has always been shifting from hot to cold eras" doesn't realize we are sky rocketing in temperature and it hasn't been seen before like this except only one with the PETM which was millions of years ago
