Not true. Considering Switzerland an advanced nation has relaxed gun laws in that it's not hard to get a gun. Yet they have low gun crime. It has to do with the gun culture in the US. It's not the gun, but it's the wrong people who have guns. And outlawing guns will only make the wrong people have them.
It's just putting a bandaid on a much bigger issue that won't ever get dealt with. It's literally the few people.
