It's been years since I last played through unfortunately, my disc has a huge scratch and it always freezes in Besaid when Yuna is coming out of the temple (aka I can play for about 30 min ), and I've been too lazy to order a new one. But over break this summer I'm definitely gonna play through both games

I think there's a way to fix scratched discs with toothpaste
Toothpaste does actually work!! And it's super fun to spread the toothpaste tbh
But it can only fix relatively minor scratches. This one is a like a Grand Canyon-sized gouge All my PS2 games are so badly scratched, I was very careless with my stuff back then
