Is it the modern Disney Classic Frozen and it's record breaking soundtrack. Or is it the iconic, record breaking Avatar.

I might say Frozen honestly. It's freaking everywhere.

Avatar's box office numbers are inflated because it was only available in IMAX/3D.

People saying Frozen is bigger is just because it's more recent and you feel it bigger. Looking back to the past, Avatar was huge!

Avatar wasn't really a cultural phenomenon like Frozen is. Plus, it wasn't an original story like Frozen is. It was like a remake of Pocahontas with tall blue people

Agreed. Maybe it's just the people I know...but I knew I ton of people who never bothered with Avatar. Even if you haven't seen Frozen (like me ) the music is everywhere. Avatar made a lot of money but again I attribute that to the fact that the tickets were so expensive. I absolutely wouldn't say Avatar was a bigger phenomenon than Titanic either, despite it grossing more.

frozen not only slayed the box office, it slayed the album charts everywhere and 'Let it go' is a new classic.

This. To people on ATRL it feels bigger because it comes with a soundtrack which is also slaying the charts.

Avatar was huger in every possible way.

Avatar was available to see in regular theaters; most people just chose to pay extra. Most of Frozen's #s also come from 3D.

But I bet more people loved Frozen than they did Avatar.

300 millions views combined for the Original (Idina + Demi)

400 millions views for all the covers combined.

Most covered song of the past 5 years on youtube.
