I'm not saying what JoeLittle makes with Broods is bad but there is someting missing. And that's the difference between a good albu and a masterwork like Pure Heroine.
I'm not a native English speaker and when I'm hearing this Broods song I say to me fine but it doesn't captivated me, I don't want to know what the lyrics are what the mood of the singer is.
If I heard the first time Lorde I wanted immediately know what she has to say.
She can create a inner potential that only generate a handful artists each decade.
PS
The same with Britney 15 years ago, when I saw the video the first time I wanted immediately know whats under that skirt, well some years later she displayed it to us.

And how does Lorde make you want to understand what she's saying? BROODS is way more emotional, imo. Sleep Baby Sleep. Lorde sounds very monotonous.
Also Britney's cover/video of I Love Rock n Roll slays. Any other opinion is wrong.
i remember in second grade students were convinced that she [Britney] originally wrote and sang that song when even i knew it was sung originally Joan Jett
