It's not that I dont wanna love you
It's not that I'm really over it
It's just that I can't watch us bleed to death
When we used to be Brooklyn nights happy
That song, and Booty Call are so painfully average
Her gritty, grimy stuff like Heart Fall Out, Chain Reaction and Hearts on Fire (I love that song so much for some reason, the outro is amazing) is the best.
Ha best Unreleased songs that are sappy and have emotion are DEFINITELY While You Were Sleeping / Lucky.
Under the Skin works visually and sonically, rather than psychologically or dramatically — and you have to surrender to its dreamy pace. But it is worth it, a cinematic experience to rival any created by Kubrick or Lynch. “Alienation” is a facile trope but Under the Skin makes it new: what’s ultimately remarkable in this film is not the way the alien looks to us but the way we look to her, so other, so alien ourselves.
