Oh I agree. Just going off what she said a few years ("one half pop, one half experimental. J-pop/hip-hop inspired. Rave music") just makes it clear to me that whatever Gaga originally presented was rejected and Gaga had to put some more commercial music on the album. I don't think she has a problem with the material, but I still don't think this was the album that was her original instinct. It was more like a compromise, which she admitted, and I don't think she should do that again.

As eye roll worthy as that would be it's kind of true. I haven't seen any major publication actually drag her or say anything negative about it. And they've all put their own conclusion as to what the performance meant to them.

I mean I'm kind of ok with last night performance if she's self aware that this is just a one-night thing and that it was just an act, she was just playing a character. If she think that what she done is 100% alright and that she can do this again when she need attention.

Everytime I refresh this page I see three Gaga articles sitting at the top

From the gist of it most of the articles have pinpointed that she's found a medium between art and pop and that it worked credibly for the performance. The highlight of the night has been swine, and some of the articles have commended the insane/weirdness of the set.
