It doesn't matter. Adele and Scarlett were the worthy winners. As a Cate stan you should know that the Oscars don't always make the right choice:
Julianne works with directors like Todd Haynes and Paul Thomas Anderson before they're known. Cate can stay making obvious "risky" moves like playing a lesbian for Todd Haynes in 2014.
Oh please, any actress would kill for this role and it's not even risky, just an amazing opportunity for anyone. Julianne is stuck doing VOD releases now so let's not. I love her and pray that the new Cronenberg goes to Cannes and delivers.
And Adele and Scarlett were never coming anywhere near the Oscars. Cate was the most acclaimed performance of the year by far, male or female.

Still, their performances were stronger and more impressive than Cate and Lupita's. I don't care what the Academy says.
Cate remains delayed and obvious in her choices, like doing Cinderella for Disney next year.
