I'll be honest with y'all and say that when I was younger I used to use this word because unfortunately I never really thought about how offensive it is. For several years now I have made a decision to never use it again and to also tell people not to use it should I hear them say it. I cannot stand when people use this word or call someone a 'freak'.

I only say this word when I'm really pissed off about something and I regret it every time.

It does irk me a lot when people use the word for fun

Nope I'm sure many people use it still. Just a while ago I was at the beach and some young girl was yelling at her sister and called her this word. Pretty horrible.

Really? Yikes. My school system really must have cut down on this. But I guess it could have been because we had a really good and large special-ed program and a large amount of gay students that seem to grow every year.

I do not use this word to begin with. I have much better words to use in it's place. Campaigns like these just make people want to use it because they're not supposed to. Just look at some of the things white people say.
