This is not necessarily true. It can be very useful when applying for jobs and during recruiting. A math degree alongside finance or whatever can make a really big difference and set you apart so if you're good at it, like it, and willing to put in the time, it's very useful.
But yes if you don't plan on majoring don't take any math classes outside the requirements. It will **** you over.
I did really well in Basic A&P though.
. Gen Chem was the pits. They only curved the Cs, Ds, and Fs and did nothing for you if you were in the B range.
