I just watched American Hustle - it's good but nothing so special. It rarely achieves greatness but when it does it's because of Amy Adams. Good God she's great. Bale was really good, Cooper was fine, JLaw was... inconsistent.

And with this I'm thiking how weak the Supporting Actor category is this year. There's not even one performance I really care about.

I feel sorry for Britney because they know she doesn't want to be in the industry anymore and yet they still push her to do this crap and give half ass performances and lie to themselves claiming "she's getting better".

It doesn't translate well on screen and the audio mastering or w/e on the MDNA tour DVDs are god-awful BUT that first act was incredible live in concert.

But yeah, on TV it doesn't look or sound so great.

They really ****ed up her voice, I swear she didn't sound like that live lol

Her performances weren't nearly as draggable as they are now.

Her music was better even tho FF is a better album imo.

It wasn't spectacular but it was an improvement over her performances during Blackout, and her promo performances during that era OBLITERATE any performances she's done lately.

Circusney had the "comeback" hype around her which must have helped. And like SaneBeyhannaStan said, the performances were better than the Blackout era (tho that doesn't say much).

I still don't want J-law to win because even when she was still better than Lupita it was far from her best performance and I don't want her to be remembered for this role.

Amy stunned me with every scene, I forgot I was watching Amy Adams

but I'll still be glad if Blanchett wins over her. Both were good.

Blackout was really a MESS the album itself isn't too bad actually but her performances were cringeworthy, she seemed more alive back then than now which makes her performances seem even worse.

I don't think there's anything she can do to ever be half the performer she once was.

really? I watched the Epix stream when it first aired and they ****ed up her voice tbh

as far as I know, the DVD and the Epix broadcast are the same
