I find the strength of 'Red' lies in its incredible ballads, 'Treacherous' and 'All Too Well' and was therefore incredibly surprised that the 'I Knew You Were Trouble' and '22' performances were the most electric of the night. 'I Knew You Were Trouble' sounded incredible in the huge arena, with bass pumping throughout the song and '22' was filled with fun - it was a joy to see the whole crowd dancing.
after seeing the way that she captivated the O2 last night I'm certain that her meteoric rise to stardom shows no sign of slowing down
REVIEW: Taylor Swift Sizzles On Stage As RED Tour Comes To London
Despite the curly haired star managing to sell out the venue, with a whopping 15,000 fans turning up to see the opening night, she still managed to engage with each and every one as she made her way to different stages at the arena, even making her way through the air on a mini platform at one point.
A fun-filled night and she can definitely put on a show...good job, Taylor!
Certainly, tonight, Swift seems staggeringly nice. She's a consummate crowd pleaser, at one point even changing into a union jack T-shirt, as if trying to make friends with her location
What's clear, too, is that she knows how to put on a show. There was little of the country ingenue left in this slick spectacular, other than the banjo inflections of Mean, but Swift appears to have found her feet as a pop star.
Earlier, Swift had thanked the crowd "for deciding to hang out with me when there are a thousand other things you could be doing". The volume of the screams that see her off-stage suggest that niceness really does go a long way.
