Columbia records are so dumb for letting XO slip away like that. Even if Bey is refusing to promote there are ways for them to save it if they wanted to e.g. itunes discount, release an alternative version, use in commercial. XO is way more appropriate for events like world cup. Now even if it rebounds in the US, it's too late for it in the rest of the world. I hope Bey knows what she's doing. Seems she's happy closing her shows with Halo for the rest of her touring life. If i had known 600k+ opening week meant no promo, i wouldnt have been as jubilatory
I think focusing on DrIL is the pratical thing to do,since from day one it out of the two lead single it showed more signs of being a hit,it completely outshone X0 in every department.I rather have a big hit than two moderate hits.Dril is the way to go.X0 is just so bland,hence why DrIL has outshone it.

It's obvious that some fans have not learnt any lessons from 4 era about the futility of pushing a song that the Gp is not here for,may be they enjoy Bey bursting her ass performing in every show known to man with no hits to show for it.The GP have proven that they are not here for XO,it was even discounted in Germany and it didn't do much.Dril on the other hand has shown that with more promo it can go very far,I'm not too sure about X0.
Plus Bey is no longer a spring chicken and she has a family to cater to,all she needs is to perform at big shows only,the era of Bey performing in all sorts of shows with little results to show for it is over.Bey needs to preserve her strength especially now that she's touring and has a family to look after.

The not promoting thing really isn't something to brag about -- it was just hilarious that Bey released in such a way and slaughtered after years and years of them (mostly Army/Navy trying to spin laziness and/or apathy into positives) perched talking about how much she promotes (as if that's a bad thing -- especially for the fans) and needs to promote in order to sell. She sat them down, now she needs to do some damn promo. I want some more performances before she disappears on tour again. The no promo thing doesn't benefit us at all. I have no clue why Bey fans are running around giddy about her not promoting. This **** ain't cute.

His presences was eva present, his powa, his humble soul for blessing us with THAT MUCH promo.
DIL was fair in promo but those two eras where loaded to the max - If it was a show & televised, Bey was there.

XO has nothing like that going for it. She's not Britney; u dont just throw out a lead single n leave it to sink esp coming off an era like 4. If she's so above radio & promo, why release singles then? Pop radio wont play them anyways. Its just blemishes her singles discography.

The tea has never been so hot before.The fact that we only have ONE live performance so far and it was an "okay" performance is like wtf tbh. It's really shocking in all honesty, im still surprised we haven't gotten some serious interview either.
I can see her not doing any promo prior to the release to prove she doesn't need any hype, but now that the album was #1 for 5 weeks and shes was able to shift a **** load and etc. she can now go back to the promo and etc.
I mean anyone who stans Beyonce will tell you one of the MAIN reasons to stan this women are for her performances in which we have barley any of this era and since she presented everything at once ... live performances are the ONLY thing we have to look forward to now. I mean these past 2 months could have been promo packed once her album peaked.
No one is saying that Bey is above doing promo,but she's certainly above doing senseless promo,if she's going to promote I'll rather she does it in big shows.I don't know about you guys but I found it painful to watch her do all that promo during 4 era with little to show for it,while lesser acts were slaying effortlessly with far less promo.If the show is not big,she shouldn't do it.We should even be greatful with what we've gotten so far,I don't know many musicians her age(apart from JT who only promoted pre album release,for obvious reasons) still bother with so much promo.
