Not a State of Emergency because of 2inch of snow. Kids stuck in buses. 10hours traffic jam.

Wasn't really the snow. It was a combination of businesses and schools all releasing around the same time and the "2 inches" turning into black ice. Atlanta isn't flat. It's very hilly so it's pretty much impossible to drive here in snow when we lack the proper infrastructure and equipment to manage it. A baby was born on I85 and there have been over 1000 reported accidents

I thought my state was a mess when snow was involved we are but damn.

Why wasn't school and work closed then?

Most of them were or early released. Metro Atlanta is HUGE... Almost like 40 combined counties. The traffic is always bad here around rush hr and 5 pm, but they started closing bridges and stuff because they were freezing over.

Actually some kids had to spend the night at school and hotels are booked because thousands had to abandon their cars.

Ch... yall punks.

New Jersey/New York can handle ALL kinds of weather. No forecast ever has us shuddering in fear.

Oh girl Oklahoma gets ALL the weather. Let's see how NY does when a tornado comes through.

Atlanta's situation reminds me of what it was like HERE in NC back in '05 when we only had half an inch of snow.

As for this snowstorm, we've fared a little bit better than Georgia when it came to stranded cars on the road, and children being left at school.

I heard GADOT didn't even PRETREAT the roads before the snow came,either.

Nice to see the overrated Florida chain get some criticism, though.People LITERALLY act like they can do NO wrong whatsoever.
