the reason a lot of the stuff on artpop sounds loud and overproduced is because the vocals do not mesh with the EDM-heavy tracks at all
It's not the song writing that's the problem, it's the producers. And it's not that the producers are doing a bad job, it's just that they don't flow with what she's writing.

Yes. She should also hire some big name producers BUT still have creative input herself. Their experience mixed with her creativity could make something great. Do a quick tour for ARTPOP, reinvent yourself. Hire a new team, let other people handle most of the work.
