Look at the difference between the "Maleficent" trailer and the "Snow White and the Huntsman" trailer.
You can tell "Maleficent" is going to be a series of nice visuals, meanwhile "Snow White and the Huntsman" gives you well-written dialogue. I feel like everything Maleficent will say in the movie will be uninspired and redundant: "There is evil in this world." OK. Got it. We haven't heard that line before. And yet, Ravenna gives us:
"Do you hear that? It's the sound of battles fought. And lives lost. It once pained me to know that I am the cause of such despair. But now, their cries give me strength. Beauty... is my power."
What a well-written, piercing speech from Charlize Theron as Ravenna. I don't think Angelina Jolie as Maleficent will give us anything close to great dialogue, but at least the film will look great. But then again, the majority of Angelina Jolie's films are sustained only by her beautiful face to begin with, and not by her talent or a good story, so "Maleficent" should be no different.

Charlize slayed her role like no other ever could and she was extremely hot too. Jolie hasn't been relevant in a long time and she's boring. Disney has not been making good films recently, Oz was just decent and the rest just sucked so I have no hope for Maleficent.

SWATH had a great trailer but was a terrible movie. It did under $400M WW. Maleficent will top that with ease.
Because its not like people are logged in their iTunes accounts buying songs from whoever performs. The buzz of the performances is usually hours after the show is over or the next day with the headlines and stuff.
