I'm not here for your hypothesis. Fact is no one was inspired to invent a video sharing site such as YouTube from a 1994 Madonna snippet. If that were the case YouTube would've been invented long before 2005. Janet was one of the main inspirations for the biggest video sharing sites. It's a fact. That's called having an impact on popular culture and changing the way in which people received information. What iconic thing has Rihanna done that comes close to that? Secondly, you keep stating all of this irrelevant stuff such as hits and more global. Again, what does that have to do with being iconic? Rihanna has also sold more than Prince, James Brown and Aretha Franklin. Is she more iconic than them? Janet is an icon because of what she brought to the industry artistically. Once again, what artistically, has Rihanna brought to the industry in terms of music and entertainment that is iconic besides singles and Facebook followers? None of you Rihanna stans can answer that. Why is that?

Janet is a freaking LEGEND. Stop comparing legends to lessors who haven't even been in the game for a decade. Janet has been in the game since she descended from heaven. She's most likely influenced most artists that ATRL lives for. And people saying she's just Michael little sister isn't a dig. That makes her more legendary. OF COURSE, OUR children and our children's children will never need to dig up an actual time capsule to find out about the wardrobe malfunction. As soon as they hear about the time Janet Jackson's breast was exposed on live TV, they'll watch it online. And the reason they'll watch it online is that in 2004, Jawed Karim, then a 25-year-old Silicon Valley whiz kid, decided he wanted to make it easier to find the Jackson clip and other in-demand videos. A year later, he and a couple of friends founded YouTube, the largest video-sharing site of all time.
