I rented a few horror movies on Redbox recently and I didn't get the acclaim some movies got. You're Next was pretty bad, not scary at all and too many dumb moments to take it seriously. Sinister was kinda creepy, but the ending ruined it for me. The Conjuring was a decent movie and I didn't even finish Insidious 2 because it was stupid.
OT: Spring Breakers is the worst movie I've ever seen.

I'll never understand why someone would spend money on a movie and not finish it, but I will agree with you that Spring Breakers was terrible. It all went downhill after Selena left. Repetitive hipster trash serving to the 15 year old demographic.

Well I didn't see the comedy in You're Next at all. The only somewhat humorous parts for me was the brother fainting with the arrow, him getting stabbed numerous times before he finally dies and the other brother trying to reason with the survival girl before she kills him anyway. But still those small parts didn't do the film any favors in the comedy department.
I didn't remember anything from Insidious 1, so I didn't know what to expect. But part two was just boring me so I couldn't deal anymore.
I've been wanting to watch You're Next since it came out, and finally did! It exceeded my expectations and is easily one of the best horror movies of last year. I loved the gore, lead character, and thought they did a good job of blending the comedy with horror. I liked that the comedy was more subtle than most recent attempts to blend comedy with horror.
One day y'all are praising You're Next, the next day you're bashing it. WHAT THE **** IS THE DEAL?!?! I don't wanna waste 90 minutes of my life if it ain't scary and is a Horredy.
nnnn okay I'm sorry if I pre-judged You're Next but 2/3 of the movie kinda looked like a predictable home invasion movie I actually paused the movie seconds before the twist Went back after 10 minutes and woaahh WAIT. The movie is awesome! Definitely one of the bests. It's clever although boring in most of the first part of the movie. The twist surely makes up for it. Not to mention Sharni Vinson is there
