People were being messy and said it was about Jay Z but i know he aint that stupid so i wonder too but since she just covered the song and it wasn't originally hers....though she changed one line and added ''Ive been riding with you for 6 years.....''
ResentGOD is a cover? And didn't Jay have something with Blu Cantrell? Could it have been her?
To remove RTW indicates a demonic presence is at work. You will be exorcised accordingly.
Well i dont really hate the track but i feel some way about it because i feel like it ruined the era a bit because it was the first single. If only Bey had chosen another single, it could have meant so much for the album. I mean, she should have picked End of time with a kick ass choreo a la Singleladies and it would have been a hit already instead of this awkward start with RTW but as a whole it didnt bother me on the album so whatever. The music video kicked ass though so if she had done a release at once with music videos for 4, she totally should have kept it

Blu was way before Beyonce and i dont think it was really a relationship, i think he just hit that a few times, same for Aaliyah and rumors about Rosario Dawnson too. The man is a pretty girls magnet apparently and it started before Bey. As for Resentment, i'm surprised you didnt know it was a cover. Victoria Beckham covered the track first. I think some Indie artist wrote the song.

I never did much research on it so I just never had a clue I guess. I need Bey to say the meaning of the song in the next Self-Titled video
No Angel though**********.................absolute perfection and i dont even care what people say because it's pretty much split in terms of popularity but damn our fave did that! the way she rides that beat, add her own ad libs like that , you listen to that song with the right headphones or riding around town in your car, it's a special experience. Everyone should try it once.

She wont. Just like she wont say what BTINH was really about. We assume it's her ex but you just never know with her. I still want to know if Jigga man was the first getting inside that holy vajayjay . judge me.
Can any of the older members make a thread to celebrate the birthday of Blue Ivy Carter, our next supreme?
She turns 2 today and as Tina Knowles grows weaker, Blue starts radiating....
Seriously we should make her birthday a new holiday. She's the next in line to reign, we must never neglect that. I still think she's going to favor her mom in looks so when she hits 20, put a good weave on that cutie and train her to be the next Queen. She could be the next Lauren Hill, slaying vocals AND rapping effortlessly.

Yeah, it did put a hamper on things during that era. EOT not getting a video has to be one of the biggest crimes of the 4 era. I remember everyone was hoping it would be the second single, but things just didn't pan out. Bey's pregnancy had a lot to do with it. Now I'm thinking she might've done it that way on purpose simply because she was pregnant. TMCWT was more than enough to redeem the era, tho.
To be honest if Beyonce had released 4 like she did this album, it would have broke records and 4 wouldn't have been a flop. Can you imagine getting Schooling life, End of time music videos on Itunes the same damn night, at the same damn time. I feel like 4 was so underrated. Imagine videos for I miss you,I care, etc....each have their own video and maybe replace RTW with another track. It would have been a hit for sure. There were more hits on 4 than this album to be honest. Bey just didnt treat the album right.
No. Just no! Beyonce is far superior to 4. 4 is great and everything, but saying there aren't hits on Beyonce, and nitpicking at lyrics... i don't think you GET it.
I'm confused by Ghost and Haunted to be honest. They aren't helping the illumani rumors that's for sure. Haunted would have been really more fascinating with a better chorus instead of repeating the same line too many times and remove the silly talking part but the beat and Bey's voice is really top notch there. Lyrics in this album were lacking in some parts and i felt like 4 had better lyrical content and felt more complete as a whole but the production on this album is the best i've heard from Bey in a long time. She should work with Timbo and Pharrell more often.
Sorry but.. who gives a **** about Illuminati rumors?
Both songs are genius tbh. Haunted probably has one of the best chorus' on the album. It's hypnotising. The way she switches from 'haunted' to 'onto' is really clever. I don't think you understand the song very well.
As for the lyrics. I don't see how 4 is that much better. When has Beyoncé ever had lyrics this good before?
Quote:
And I've been drifting off on knowledge
Cat-calls on cat-walks, man these women getting solemn
I could sing a song for a Solomon or Salamander
We took a flight at midnight and now my mind can't help but wonder:
How come?
Spoon-fed pluralized eyes to find the beaches in the forest
When I'm looking off the edge, I preach my gut it can't help but ignore it
I'm climbing up the walls cause all the **** I hear is boring
All the **** I do is boring, all these record labels boring
I don't trust these record labels, I'm torn
All these people on the planet working 9 to 5 just to stay alive
Or this
Quote:
It's what you do, it's what you see
I know if I'm haunting you, you must be haunting me
It's where we go, it's where we'll be
I know if I'm onto you, I'm onto you
Onto you, you must be on to me
My haunted lungs, ghost in the sheets
I know if I'm onto you, you must be haunting me
My wicked tongue, where will it be?
I know if I'm onto you, I'm on to you
Or this
Quote:
Pretty hurts
We shine the light on whatever's worse
Perfection is the disease of a nation
Pretty hurts, pretty hurts
We shine the light on whatever's worse
Tryna fix something
But you can't fix what you can't see
It's the soul that needs the surgery
this
Quote:
Baby put your arms around me
Tell me I'm the problem
Know I'm not the girl you thought you knew and that you wanted
Underneath the pretty face is something complicated
I come with a side of trouble
But I know that's why you're staying
this
Quote:
I've been watching for the signs
Took a trip to clear my mind
Now I'm even more lost
And you're still so fine, oh my oh my
Been having conversations about breakups and separations
I'm not feeling like myself since the baby
Are we gonna even make it? Oooh
Cause if we are, we're taking this a little too far
If we are, we're taking this a little too far
Baby, if we are, we're taking this a little too far
Me being wherever I'm at, worried about wherever you are
We're taking this a little too far
this
Quote:
When the palm of my two hands hold each other
That feels different
From when your hands are in mine
That's just the way it is
And when my voice is screaming out to my own ears
That feels different from when I hear yours
Now that's just the way it is
And when I'm standing in this mirror after all these years
What I'm viewing is a little different
From what your eyes show you
I guess I didn't see myself before you
Moving forward
Her lyrics were always my biggest concern, because they used to be too simplistic and too formulaic, even in 4 she hadn't really fixed this problem. Now she finally sounds like a grown woman, like someone who can express themselves beyond the same ol': 'Boy you're my James Dean" and "I will love you until the end of time" ********.

Do you think she cares about Illuminati rumors and would discard a song she like because of it? LOL
This album is a lyrical masterpiece, maybe you should read through them on her website.
