People dont remember stats, they remember moments, iconic ones that shaped an artist.

No one is gonna be listening to a new artists in 30 years and think "Oh, that Rihanna and T.I song that hit #1 in 2008 is so good."

Madonna isnt even remembered for sales, people quote her music and her fashion moments.

Mariah is ALWAYS introduced as the best selling female artist of all time and no one gives a ****.

Out of all of her songs, WFL will probably be remembered, and Umbrella. Hell I can barely recall most of her songs from past years to now. Take A Bow will not be remembered. Rude Boy is forgotten. S&M was number one, no one talks about it. It can go on and on with her because, as you said, she doesn't care about the music. Only the fame and status the music brings her.
