Exactly. The Alejandro video should've never been released like that. It set-up the stage perfectly for the mess of Madonna comparisons and backfiring controversy during her next era. Alejandro is a perfect pop song and should've been released still, but that video
It also started this trend of Gaga videos being really dark. Not just content-wise but literally just darker or mostly black and white.
