It is SO good. Her vocals were so clean back then.
I wish she'd have stopped smoking and also started taking care of her voice sooner. You can tell that it's better on ARTPOP thankfully, but by Born This Way it had taken a clear toll. Sure she also used her lower register far more heavily than she had in the past, but the damage was clear.
Plus she'd been singing live for the whole damn Monster Ball tour before doing BTW - like gurl give yourself a rest.
A piano or jazz album would slay my soul and the Grammys I am not sure she or some of the monsters are quite prepared for when ARTPOP is not nominated for a Grammy.
And exactly, she doesn't have to try so hard to make herself and her performances "art." She just needs to go out sing, be herself, and have fun! I mean I love when she talks about some old stories and stuff while she is on the piano, or even in the middle of breaking a dance. You really need to see The Monster Ball if you haven't already, search the videos on Youtube. She was so connected to her fans, it was incredible.
Her choreography sucks now, so until she owns up to that and finds a professional to help her, probably not. And nnnnn you betuh get that disco stick sis
Watching the Born This Way iTunes festival. Why is Judas always such a mess live?
Yes! When I went on my shopping spree last month and bought TF+M and BTW, I also bought the TFMB and me and my friends watched it together. We were all kinds of slayed. I'll be watching the Born This Way Ball soon when I find the time. I really do think Born This Way was her best album and this is coming from fresh ears.

Uh, every time Gaga goes on stage she is being herself and having fun.
And you do know she has the same choreographer as she did in 2009, right?

!!!!
And this:
She really did accomplish all of her dreams and more. I think this is why she's really not interested in fame anymore, she already has it and has already done it all. Now she wants to just do what she wants, like work with her idols.

People deliberately ignore these great performances because they want to be nostalgic.

You'll probably be disappointed by the BTW Ball live. Not because it was bad but because it just didn't photograph well. It looked a hundred times better in real life.
Edit: BTW is her best album and I've thought this since the day it was released. It's just so rich and deep and blows most pop albums out of the water.
This performance was so iconic. The start of Applause.. with the huge hair.. that beautiful skin-tight outfit with that extremely confident pose. It gives me Michael Jackson teas.

Judas is a REALLY difficult song to sing the WOOOOAHH OW OW OW. Has to be hard to actually make sound decent, much less good, live
Yas sis stan for The Monster Ball! So Happy I Could Die is so good live And really? Born This Way? What are your favorites from BTW?

It just doesn't feel the same as it did during TF/TFM era's. And really? Well she needs to bring back Boomkack or sumthin, cause this **** isn't working. But I know Boomkack would never come back.

But I think those are the parts that she nails. She's always so out of breath which makes the verses really messy.

The Fame + Monster is the most flaw free album. This is true. But I think Born This Way is really ahead of its time and is the most daring a pop star has been lately - image wise and lyrically. My favorites are Marry The Night and The Edge of Glory (my two favorite songs by Gags) and either Judas or Government Hooker. I don't dislike any track from it though.
The Just Dance/Poker Face/LoveGame section of this performance. I'm slayed.

The Ellen performance was a MESS all around
And you betuh stan sis I am still in love with Born This Way for the exact reasons you mentioned. To me it is like Bionic in the way that it was ahead of it's time and a daring experimental release.

Hopefully that rumor that Gaga was doing a stripped down version of ARTPOP with Rick Rubin comes true.. because that would be the absolute best thing to happen to her right now (unless she choose to release Cheek to Cheek or the DWUW video ).
I'm a huge fan of Bionic too. Don't worry. I feel you exactly. #justiceforBionicAndARTPOP

Sis I live for your taste.
Cheek to Cheek will never see the light of day though, we both know that
I've got to say - I think BTW is third or fourth out of four, but honestly, without it, I wouldn't be the monster I am today. It's incredibly important in my life, especially the "because you're a superstar" speeches during the Monster Ball before the album came out as well as the actual song "Born This Way". It all came at a time in my life when I really needed it most, you know? I don't even care if "Highway Unicorn" is a complete embarrassment objectively, I'll belt along to it any time, and that goes for any song on the record. I like ARTPOP more, but Born This Way has a special place in my heart that nothing else will touch.

The haters of BTW will just never understand what it means to us

Everyone tried so hard to drag it and now they love it (not talking about you or really anyone in this thread). It took two years of bland pop music for people to appreciate just how different and daring it truly was.
