iirc, didn't Whitney die on lamb appreciation day?

I love Whitney. I was in the shower the other day singing "My Love Is Your Love" and I had to stop cause I started crying. Like, actual tears. Her death was def the celeb death that hit me the hardest. Mariah is my queen because of her (mostly) flawless discography (Whitney's albums aren't great on the whole), but I consider Whitney to be the greatest singer ever. Her "One Moment in Time" performance at the GRAMMYs will never be topped.

Whitney was THE VOICE for a reason.

I love Whitney Celine and Prince too but no one on ATRL seems to care about them. Prince is my first male fave.

Instead we got that cheesy mess with Aretha. Like not even some beautiful soul ballad with two of music's greatest singers, but an early 80s version of The Boy Is Mine.

And the fact that we never got a live album from the greatest live singer ever. Mariah got one two years into her career. Madonna has like what, four? Not trying to shade her because I love her and I actually think her voice is quite nice, but it really puts things in perspective
