100 BEST SONGS EVER · #80 - 77

♫"You're moving on, you say. Here I stay. I'll take this pain. Yeah, I can't, I can't."♫ | 80 · AUSTIN MAHONE, "What About Love"
Debut Date: July 6, 2013
Weeks on Chart: 1 Week
Peak Position: #19
One of the poorest songs in terms of chart statistics. The song wasn't originally part of my initial list (even on the wannabes), not until it grew on me a lot just last month. Though it sounds more mature than his two previous hits, I initially thought of it as less appealing. Now, my thoughts are now the opposite. Wow, Austin makes another appearance for the second consecutive set.

♫"Thinking about the conversation. I know I’m not one to change. I've never wanted nothing more but as I walk up to your door."♫ | 79 · LAWSON, "Standing In The Dark"
Last Year: Wannabe #192
Debut Date: did not chart
Weeks on Chart: did not chart
Peak Position: did not chart
Fun fact: All Lawson singles charted on my countdown with the exception of this one. Despite that, it's their only single to place within the Top 100. Not to mention it also appeared as a wannabe last year. Wasn't really crazy about this one not until a close friend of mine kept on asking me to copy the song into his playlist.

♫"I'll be your clown on your favorite channel. My life's a circus circus, round in circles. I'm selling out tonight."♫ | 78 · EMELI SANDÉ, "Clown"
Debut Date: January 12, 2013
Weeks on Chart: 1 Week
Peak Position: #19
I've always been a big fan of piano emotional ballads so I easily loved this one. I've been seeing Emeli Sandé on YTT since last year but I've never got the chance to give her music a try, not until "Clown" was released. It was magnificent and well-crafted. This even led me to listen to her previous efforts. Spoiler: This is not her last appearance.

♫We'll play hide and seek to turn this around. All I want is the taste that your lips allow. My, my, my, my, oh give me love."♫ | 77 · ED SHEERAN, "Give Me Love"
Last Year: Wannabe #169
Debut Date: December 8, 2012
Weeks on Chart: 2 Weeks
Peak Position: #14
Another Ed Sheeran trademark bound to be one of his signature hits. I admit it might not be as remarkable as his previous hits, but this one is actually good. It might flop so badly on my countdown, but it garnered great number of plays on my iPod. I actually almost forgot to put this track on the list.
