Yeah, it's true that it's likely not shade. Side-chaining is something producers do when compressing songs. It's where you have a synth side-chained, and the rest of the song gets more compressed when the synth plays, to prevent the overall song from getting too loud. It's really easy to do, I can even do it on FL Studio. He might be shading Dr. Luke, if anything lol. But I don't know if it's shade pointing it out, it's a legitimate producing technique if done well imo. He might just be saying he's surprised to hear a harmonica in a dance song.
