Majority of my friends use that word to describe black people. I think its rude tbh.

Overall, yes, it is acceptable for blacks to call one another the n-word (whatever form). I don't think n*gger is used much though (at least in a serious manner). All I hear is 'n*gga' in a friendly/casual manner.

I only find it acceptable, regardless of being black or not, if it's not used in a serious manner. I pretty much just say negro when I'm joking around with my black friends but I never say it to anyone if I don't know they're* comfortable with it. If someone that's not black wants to use it with someone, make sure they're ok with it. Otherwise there should be no problem it should only be brought to attention when someone is using it as a degrading term.

Well, I personally am offended by anyone who uses that word to begin with – even my friends – and I'm white. I think it's racist and considering some of its meanings, I just don't think it's necessary. But at the same time, any African American who uses it should not be offended if a white person uses the word towards them, unless it's done so out of hate or spite. Overall, I don't even think the word should be part of people's vocabulary. Words like that and "retard" are just really offensive and kind of discriminatory towards particular types of people, and I don't see any situation where the usage of these types of words are necessary.

It's fine that people think it is acceptable, but IMO if you don't want to be called the n-word, then don't refer to yourself as the n-word. It's really simple. Nobody respects someone who doesn't respect themselves.
