My guess is that the Xtina feature will be released on radio to give it new life and hopefully boost the performance of the song.

But if nothing good happens, let's just all jam to MANiCURE as this era flops to the end

Does anyone have an example of a song that this has been done for? This is exactly what I want to happen, but I can't think of many songs that had a remix get significant airplay when the original has already peaked on radio (besides when they remix for a different format).

I just don't understand what went wrong with DWUW, it sounds like a huge smash Granted they made a lot of mistakes along the way, but at this point its airplay should be translating to top 10 on iTunes.

The only one I can think of is when Britney did the remix feature on S&M with Rihanna, and that went to number one on hot 100. If that helps...

I can't believe she was hovering at #11 two weeks ago and now she's down in the 30s I realize things can only move so quickly, but the Xtina remix needed to be out then when everyone was loving the performance.

Applause is sitting pretty at #20.

On one hand Applause proves itself has a hit single,while on the other, DWUW is doing moderately well. I'd rather have have the former,so no.

Think of it this way. DWUW is still increasing on radio despite the winter freeze. Dropping the video when it's at a high AI will mean the streaming will have more impact towards her hot 100 position.

I doubt they'd cancel the video all-together. If they are still planning to stretch this era out, a video in January isn't a big deal.

Unless DWUW starts free-falling on radio after the winter freeze, I'd say she's fine.

It would BOP, but she shouldn't beat a dead horse. DWYW has flopped, and it's time to move on. Other songs with much LESS promo are slaying much harder. It's kind of clear that people are simply not here for her image and the DWYW video would had probably made it worse.

At this point, I don't think even a GP-friendly video would help the song much. Save it for a third single (not Gypsy), and then jump to ARTPOP Monster or whatever.
