Cyndi Lauper for example had so much impact in the 80s but never survived the other decades. I'd rather have P!nk to have longevity and be on the same level than her getting all the attention for nothing.

Naw, even in the middle of her eras she becomes irrelevant. Her only memorable song in her last era she needed Nate for it to become a solid hit.
