Thinking Of You was recorded before a lot of other One Of The Boys tracks were and was selected out of a bunch of other tracks that were scrapped (along with Waking Up In Vegas), so they were obviously planned to be singles. Even though If You Can Afford Me should have been the third single, and it would have SMASHED.

A 5th single stalling in the top 20 on pop is not a flop. The label just throws it out there to ride out the era.
Unconditionally followed a huge smash and she promoted the **** out of it, only to end up with this result. That is a flop.
