These are GREAT numbers. Do you realize how poor the market is right now? Sales are down almost 10% from just last year.
I wouldn't expect a huge bump from the physicals, though. HDD always takes everything into account. It might jump to like 300k, maybe 325k at most. Also- the mass iTunes banner onslaught will be gone on Friday (she'll probably be left with "just" the main banner, lol), so that might make a diff in iTunes sales.

There aren't any artists this year whose promotion costed that much, PRISM and Beyone would probably come close. Remember that having a commercial air once already costs like 100.000$, but having your tv commercial air multiple times, having videos for all songs, etc. No wonder that Bey's label had no money for other artists (as said by an artist from there): Beyonce's promotion is massive.

for real , her first "week" was crazy . and physical isnt even out there right now... it already sold out artpop,isnt it?

You don't get it do you. Beyonce gave iTunes the exclusive. They are paying for the promotional costs. The commercial is from APPLE. The Banners she doesn't have to pay for it.
Similar to her Target deal, they did the commercials.

Fees for commercials are not paid on a per-showing basis, and they certainly don't cost $100k per showing; certain time slots are bought for a period of time and paid for up front.
