ARTPOP easily remains my favourite Gaga album to date. It's certainly not perfect (I don't use Donatella or J&D, and I know I'm in the minority for wishing Dope were still I Wanna Be With You), but I find it has less filler than The Fame, flows better and goes harder than TFM, and isn't as sonically exhausting as BTW.

It manages to play to Gaga's strengths with her quirky brand of songwriting while still finding space to try new things with her sound: Sexxx Dreams with its sinister Vanity 6 neon haze and explosive, glittering hook, MANiCURE with its girl-punk rock&stomp, DWYW with Gaga serving some pseudo R&B that drifts between both heavy and breezy synth and vocal passages, ARTPOP with its Yoko Ono-meets-Roisin Murphy hypnotic disco, and Fashion! with its Daft Punk-ian nu-Chic funk.

There's a lot of flavor and color on this album, and it's too bad that those who want to actually enjoy the album with other like-minded fans have to put up with people who want nothing more than to whine about Gaga up and down this thread.

Yeah, the ARTPOP app will have an upgrade in April. ARTPOP Act II will be released in April or June.

If the first act is not doing as good as expected what make you think there should be a re-release and let alone and act two? She needs a new album, new sound and most importantly HITS.

Like, reinvention is good.

I think she described BTW as experimental so I too am here for experimental Gaga music.

I just think it would bode well for her if she picks a new concept. Y'all see how hard JT got dragged with pt. 2 of the 20/20 experience

She already dismissed the whole volume 2 being more experimental thing. I don't know how anyone could look forward to volume 2 with the current line-up of producers and cringe worthy song titles like "Onion Girl".

I mean, it really doesn't take a scientist to figure this out so not sure why she's pushing for this volume 2 thing? Oh wait, because she has lost complete touch with reality and fires everyone that is realistic and fair.

It's a concept not much want to grasp. ACT 2 will just bring in more embarrassment and negative press, especially if it's the same bunch of producers and the same concept. She needs to go away after Gypsy (3rd single) and start working on a new album that focuses "on the music".

"Onion Girl" is from a list of songs that didn't make Act I and there's always a possibility that it won't ever see the light of day. Don't assume it's automatically on Act II.

Also, when you did stan for Gaga, she had cringe-worthy song titles like Highway Unicorn but apparently that only seems to matter now to you.

But stay salty and bitter just to blend in with the kewl kids of ATRL.

oh yeah earlier DWUW was #1 on the nightly countdown for most requested songs on my pop station. after it finished they dragged her for not coming to ottawa then did a prayer complete with angelic music to the "tour gods" that she'll come here so they don't have to buy tix in the nosebleeds in montreal
