But I would agree that a lot of The Army whips out the most irrelevant receipts from the Baby One More Time and Oops... eras.

A mess. Yes, Funky, it's Japanese, but it's not "unami". It's one of the five basic tastes that your tongue can taste, along with sweet, sour, bitter and spicy. It's the savory taste.

The lyrics in my song Umami were about the five senses (see, feel, smell, taste, hear), thus the use of the word "umami" emerged. The lyrics disoriented the use of the senses ("Maybe if we had eyes we'd see goodbye but we don't, we taste staying a while").

Unagi looks delicious. I could go for some Asian food now.
