When it comes to the digital & physical debate, it's the digital singles that dominate the rest.
And in response to the other comment, indie artists sell more digital albums than physical because it's easier for an indie artist to get their album out digitally than have it sold physically in stores, hence their digital album sales exceeding their physical album sales.
Lorde is selling more digital copies of her album because her label hasn't shipped out mass amounts of her album, since she's still technically a new artist.
