I can turn that around. Before monsters were always like "1.1 MILLION STILL BOUGHT TE ALBUM", "AMAZON STILL PAID FOR THEM AT FULL PRICE", and "GAGA HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE DISCOUNT; THE SALES STILL COUNT"
Even if you subtract the 99C sales, ARTPOP'S still sold
less than half of BTW sales, almost a third.

You have no idea that this is Katy's peak, and Katy never tried to create a cult-like fan base.

That makes no sense. It's not the non-monsters that had the high expectations. It was the MONSTERS that set themselves up. It was the MONSTERS that dragged the Kats when PRISM sales were released. It was the MONSTERS that compared Gaga to the likes of Adele and Taylor Swift when it comes to album sales.
