Here's something that may surprise you: "Dope" sold just 31K copies this week (and ranks #60 on Hot Digital Songs), while "Applause" sold just 4K copies this week (and isn't listed at all on the 200-deep Hot Digital Songs chart) How can this be? The songs' sales sank this week because many fans opted to take advantage of iTunes' Complete My Album program. When they do that, their earlier song purchases are deducted from the songs' current week totals. ("Applause" had been selling about 80K a week the past two weeks.)
So that's why Dope made the Top 10 even with only 30k sold.
my clairvoyance is telling me that she will sell more on the 2nd week, bookmark me, screencap me, Burn me if my prediction is wrong. i will go proudly through teh fire.
Aren't they releasing on 25th? There is still another week without their album
Oh oops my bad I thought they were releasing Black Friday week. She'd probably get a rise but watch some Christmas album sell a lot. Or Eminem block her It's okay though she'll still sell some copies at least and have a slight boost.
She has to be great on SNL, because at the AMAs there is too much competition...among that one who will be naked, that one who will perform on a rainbow, she might be outshined.
She needs to play the "simple" card, just like rihanna did at the Grammys
So the story about the 100k pre-orders might be true? That's even worse
I don't get why everyone keeps talking about the pre-orders as something that aggravates the situation. Almost certainly the biggest part of them are fans' purchases who would've been done anyway on the first week.

Pre-orders are fan-driven, it's known.
Mte, why is everyone focussing on pre-orders? If she sells 600k in pre-orders and 100k in the week, or 600k during the week but only 100k in pre-orders, what the **** is the difference?
Isn't it ridiculous to jump ship just because the opening numbers are very disappointing? Let's wait till the end of the year to see if it's definitely a flop. And even if it is a flop, it's still my favourite album of the year so far.
And she thought that Born This Way will test her fans...
I knew that people would change their mind as soon as we get the reviews and the first week sales. Unfortunately I was right.
If you enjoy the music, focus on that. If you don't (like me), well, that sucks and the next 2 - 2 1/2 years until we hopefully get new music will be a pain in the ass.
Even tho we have bad sales I will never jump the ship. I will be here till the end. But the fact that Gaga's low sales make some people so happy is absolutely disgusting. Is their life so sad?
It's a mess. The only good thing about these people leaving the fanbase is: More place in this thread and not 5+ pages per minute. And It will be more real in here now.
I'm a stan since 2008 and never left her. Never. And that won't change. Even though I'm not some overdramatic ***, crying about everything.
