If Katy can have 2 singles in the top 20 on radio I certainly think that Gaga can too. DWUW didn't have a radio deal, had had limited promo, and was switched to a single after originally being a promo single and then released to radio (formally) 2 weeks after its digital release.
The song is rising naturally and at a good pace. It nearly has 17 million audience impressions on POP when all the other songs around it have anywhere from 7-14. The good news in that is that obviously big stations are playing the song already. Just be patient and wait for the promo to kick in and the song will be where it needs to be.
And Applause doesn't have to tank Work Bitch style for it to happen either.  |
ok two things
first of all, gaga is not Katy at the moment. She's simply not going to get two songs basically on PR at the same time. DWUW will NOT take off until Applause seriously declines
and second of all, I'm not advocating for Applause to tank "work bitch style", In fact, I was advocating for giving Applause mroe time & room to live before having released DWUW
regardless though, this is all pointless talk because DWUW is already here
