On the brighter side, this floppage should teach Avril in a hard way. No more bratty pop songs as lead singles. I hope they got the message though and not just ignore it.
Also, we'll have another album real quick, I'm guessing.
OMG!!! Everything was perfect until HTNGU's second week. (At least the song reached number in 22 countries)
Epic ruined everything, we used to be a BIG Youtube force. Look at the poor views thanks to Epic Records horrendous managment. And no radio support (HTNGU's first week was AMAZING)
If she's still with RCA, this album will easily get approved. They want pop smah hits, Avril Lavigne has it all. With even their most mediocre promo strategy, she'll hit top 10 twice or more with the right single choices. And the album will definitely not sell below 50k and in the first place wouldn't be released along with Em and Celine. This would have been released in the summer where it rightfully belongs.
^ They have well promoted WTH and it sold 2 milli and 5 milli in all over the world . If only they had a Radio deal WTH could've been top 10 in US . RCA is way better than #BeFlopEpic
It won't. We would be lucky if we get the top 5, Arcade Fire and Katy Perry will be higher.
Welp totally forgot about Arcade Fire. #stillsippinondatsunshine

Isn't it too late now tho? I mean she trashed RCA right before the GL era started and crawling back to them would be weird (cant find a better adjective lol). She's in a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation like she's always been.
She can't go back to RCA, I'm happy with the quality of this album she did what she wanted. The point is that they don't have a high budget, probably they don't even have a budget.
They also had trouble in the management right after RnR and people got fired. But all of you probably forgot how RCA promoted GL, right?

RCA did a horrible job with GL, but that was still miles better than what Epic is doing, not to mention that she got worldwide promo, along with promo in her main market Japan.

The problem of RCA was that they didn't want to release GL at all.
It was supposed to come out in September 2009 then "Early 2010" then April....then first single in April album in June...then September...October...November...and then finally WTH premiered January 1, 2011 with the album in March. They were doing everything right until the point they didn't release WTH right after premiere and instead gave it for free on FB. Also it flopped on radio as hard as HTNGU which was shocking.
