Those are the only movies of his I've seen and I love all three of them.

If his most recent work is as mediocre as it's suggested something must've happened on the way

What should she have won for? She was great in Monster's Ball and deserved to win. It's a straightforward drama and not a weird edgy movie like Mulholland Drive so there's less love for it 10+ years later but she deserved to win.

Mulholland Dr was a pretty big box office failure but now it's more remembered and liked than most of 2001's hits

I liked Prometheus even with all its loose ends.

Roots is considered a 'miniseries.' But I don't see 12 Years a Slave having that sort of impact Roots had then and what it has now.

I mean, 37 Emmy nominations

Limited release - I saw it today in DC along with Escape from Tomorrow.

Impact? No.

But quality? Honestly, I think I might give 12 Years the edge. It was that good.

Beyonce and Blake Lively will both win Oscars before Leo.

Gravity as an experience is very akin to Avatar.
