I think 12YAS is the favorite, but Avatar had more things going against it than Gravity.

Gravity felt like going to church but with better visuals and no creepy pedophiles.

I will say that I'll be pleased with either movie sweeping (as long as Sandy wins Best Actress). I got to see it today in DC, and it felt like watching the new standard. Truly a horrific film (understandably). The cast was top-notch and I REALLY hope Lupita wins Best Supporting Actress.

Avatar's reviews were very good. Gravity's are a step above. They're amazing.
