They do count because they are fairies. Even if they are old mons they are completely different now. They obviously didn't add many fairies because they had to retype many Pokemon. And still Sylveon doesn't outclass Florges except as wish passer.

Whether most fairy types have low defense or not, this is still a nerf to Dragon pokémon. They are immune to the whole type and are super-effective to them too. Their stats may not be perfect against most dragons, but it still is a good nerf to dragons.

You'd be surprised, Sylveon has more potential because she has better bulk. Idk what you don't understand? Florges has better Sp. bulk but that is irrelevant since the difference is not that much and Sylveon can take physical hits better than Florges, hence why she is unarguably better.

The only thing Florges REALLY has over Sylveon is Speed. That's it.

Florges and Sylveon can be glad to be in UU. Neither can take Physical hit well. Florges has more defenses while Sylveon has better HP

They did add many Fairies though, they just suck major ass. Slurpuff, Aromatisse, Carbink, Dedenne etc.

Magneton was retyped to part Steel in Gen 2, that didn't stop them from introducing good Pokemon to represent the new types. Skarmory and Tyranitar are OU since they were released. Can you seriously say that this will happen for a single new Fairy? Because I doubt it.

Oh right I forgot about that, that's another thing Sylveon outclasses Florges, and an important one, while Florges gets only bragging rights for her Speed.

Sylveon remains superior overall.

Fact is both are special Walls who can't take physical attacks.
Both have roughly the sam stat and will probably see completely different sets

Togekiss has only 50 Attack, giving it way more base stat points that are actually useful.

If it's 55 stat points to get it to 600 base stat points, then 40-ish of them would have been put in Attack. Meaning it's really only about 15 useful stat points away from pseudo-legendary. It's already flawless

Ah I see what you mean. Strangely, if they were to make Togekiss a pseudo, and pump its attack to lets say 100, and have her Sp. Attack be 125, she would be similar to Dragonite's spread

I've already made clear that I think they will be UU though, with only Sylveon having chances at OU, unless Florges finds a niche for itself, otherwise she remains outclassed.

She doesn't though, and I've already stated that, Sylveon has better Defense. Period. The Sp. Def different is irrelevant since Sylveon has bigger HP thus bigger wishes.

Wrong Sylveon has better HP not better defenses.
BUt Sylveon is also outclassed by Clefable as Wish passer

Is Cute Charm permitted on Showdown etc? Do they allow attract? I never see it used so I actually don't know if Sylveon has two useless abilities (competitively anyway).

Obvi Florges' ability is useless too.

LOL you're the one who's avoiding the obvious. And how is that gonna work exactly? Because they are very similar unless Florges gets some interesting stuff as Egg moves.

Sylveon will be used more for her bigger wishes and superior Defense.
