That was a platform release. It opened to OK numbers but built momentum through great word of mouth and awards buzz and exploded during the holidays. It didn't feel like she opened it.
I still haven't watched it fully. I got to the middle but had to go out, and i haven't finished it yet. She was great in the bits i watched, very versatile.
Literally everyone loves Jennifer Lawrence and see her as being talented, beautiful, down to earth and funny. She's the biggest actress of the past decade. She's already had 2 oscar noms for best LEAD actress winning one and is part of 2 huge franchises being the lead in the highest grossing action film with a female lead (although alleged actress of our generation Angelina Jolie has played the lead in countless action films including the well established Tomb Raider).
I don't give a **** what the GP agrees or does not agree with. Katy's discography is AWFUL. Her songs are AWFUL. Her videos are AWFUL. Her performances are AWFUL. This is a fact, and the sooner people graduate from Middle School and stop polluting ATRL with her disgusting existence the better.
Katy was tolerable when she marketed herself as the US Lily Allen. But her only decent post-One Of The Two-Hit Wonders song is Teenage Dream, the rest ranges from moderately listenable to TERRIBLE. i still feel bad for Missy being a cash-in rapper on Last Friday Night.
