I don't understand why we're dragging DWUW's fall on iTunes? Isn't it only natural for a new song to fall with no radio support, music video and a promo performance? It already hit #1 in 80+ countries so obviously it resonated somewhat with the world. As soon as she goes on her promo campaign, I'm sure it'll shoot up the chart once again. DWUW has the potential to outlast any Katy Perry #1s.
Poor thing is still going to open with less than 300k
300k is out of question according to Billboard, which is implying that she could do less than 270k (Bangerz's opening.)
Quote:
Industry sources suggest Perry's third album, which was released on Tuesday, Oct. 23, might sell around 275,000 copies by the end of the tracking week on Sunday, Oct. 27. If she starts with that sum, she'll also log the largest sales week this year for a woman. It would surpass the arrival of Miley Cyrus' "Bangerz," which debuted with 270,000 at No. 1 a week ago, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
I'm sure they would seek the advice of their black friends/counsellors/pastors etc. I do think some white parents genuinely want to provide a better life for them but some merely see them as a fashion accessory. I also wonder how their family would perceive their adoption, and vice versa (black family adopting a white child).
There was this black athlete that adopted a white girl and it caused outrage. People where questioning why he didn't adopted one of black kids in need in Africa, as if there aren't any starving white people. The western world in general love to act like saviors when it comes to people of color.

I'm sure it's not an issue until the child becomes a teen, and then its "omg! there's a big black guy in my kitchen! "
