I'm sure they didn't base it off of one days worth of sales. Its the same line of thinking that lead to Interscope killing Judas to promote TEoG which was the correct decision.

This is such a refreshing banger. It's like We Can't Stop, but with a more laid back, yet fun vibe. It's got this natural fun energy about it. It's hard to really explain, but I think this will do amazing. Even IF Venus is better, this song totally sounds like something the GP will eat up.

The Edge of Glory was her last true smash. Applause may be her biggest radio hit to date but it felt like an Alejandro/LoveGame-sized hit.

Do What U Want has the smash potential to be up there with Bad Romance, Poker Face, Just Dance, etc.

TEOG was brilliant but they should have held off with it. "Judas" had actually re-entered the Hot 100 and I think it had a shot at a second wind; its rush release and subsequent dropping were the two biggest mistakes of the era.

However, y'all will look back on this single one day as one of the key moments in ARTPOP's performance overall.
