Of course each case is different, and although I have the impression the artist's opinion, being already an estabilished act, is taken into consideration, there are times when other factors weight more and, in the end, specially talking about lead singles and follow-ups, is the record label that has the last word.
(which is as likely as Miguel getting a certification)
