Well 92.3 NOW (the third biggest station in the usa) put out of power rotation applause just today so I guess this will have a tremendous effect on the song's pop update tomorrow unless other stations can make up for it but I doubt it judging from the poor additional spins it has every day.

And like Duca said, the 7 Fame/Fame Monster singles and Born This Way, Edge Of Glory were all bigger then Applause on radio, unless Gaga turns it around.
It means releasing the single to digital retailers weeks (or even months) after a song has been sent to radio.
This method worked well for songs to shoot to #1 back in those days (because the first-week sales would be higher than normal), but it really doesn't do much nowadays with increased piracy and the rise of Spotify/YouTube/etc.
Umich, do you know where Unconditionally is premiering? Or is it simply being released to radio without an official premiere?
I've actually been trying to find out, but I haven't come across any news yet. My guess is that it'll probably be some major station broadcasting it at 8AM or 10AM (Eastern Time) tomorrow morning.
If it's Z100, then it will probably be 8AM. If it's KIIS-FM, then it will probably be 10AM.
