Art is expression, expression through music, expression through paint, expression through dance, expression through word. If you can't get that, then something is EXTREMELY wrong with you.
I'm an art major you dolt, the first class they gave me was ART appreciation, one of the main things the professor pushed was that ART was anything that evoked emotion whichever way it was expressed.
So be it Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Beyonce, Adele, Britney Spears, P!nk, Ariana, Mariah... They are all ARTISTS, they all evoke emotion, be it happiness, sadness, nostalgia, so on and so forth.
Ugh, the ignorance / naivety level is so high in this forum, it's ANNOYING!
